Spectations

A study, of words, in crimson, sometimes blue, rarely yellow.

Life Goes On…

Once again he locks himself up
Behind curtains of emotions
To fool the world
To make them believe the lie that he is

Once again, he has lost
The battle he was fighting
To be taken prisoner
By the sadness he didn’t comprehend

Once again, he was in reach
But he saw not beyond his own flaws
& he turned around
& he walked away

Once again, she waited
Standing in the rain
Waiting for him to come
& take her away

Once again, he did not come
& she cried her tears
But they didn’t sting anymore
& she went home again

Once again, the story repeated itself
She would forever wait
He would never come
& this is how
Their story never changes

Lost in the madness, She longs to find, The one face, That she would call "Mine".

Lost in the madness, She longs to find, The one face, That she would call "Mine".

& this is how
Life goes on…
